Mom Jeans, the Revenge!

We interrupt this Shutdown Diary to bring you breaking news about Mom Jeans.
Please stay tuned for your regularly scheduled update of the minutiae of The Working Mom's furlough days later this evening.

Okay, they're not really on the attack or anything, but since I've done two posts about Mom Jeans, it seems like the next title should be something dramatic.  Usually, in the third follow up movie, the main thingy, whatever it is, usually gets its revenge.  Anyway.

Mom Jeans.

So I've told you about NYDJ and about Eddie Bauer Curvy Boot Cut Stay Shape Jeans. Now, I have one more to tell you about.

Shortly after I wrote my post about the EB Stay Shape Jeans (which I love, and which are swiftly becoming my favorite jeans -- they hug the curves perfectly and no muffin top), another friend wrote me an e-mail to tell me about some Levi's for the mom bod.

Levi's, y'all!

Everyone's cool who wears Levi's, right?  (Or was that just true in my small East Texas hometown in the 80's?  And maybe not even then.)

Anyway, this friend really likes them, and so, I had to get some to try for myself.  (Lucky for me we had a buy-one-get-one half off coupon code for levis.com and hubby needed some new 505s.)

Ladies, I give you the Levi's 512 Perfectly Slimming Boot Cut and Straight Jeans.  At $44 a pair, they're even cheaper than the EB Stay Shape Jeans.  I got the straight jeans, since I'd gotten the boot cut of the EB Stay Shape Jeans.  I would recommend purchasing them in whatever your true size is and then go from there.  (Some of the reviews on the website suggest going a size down, but I don't do it with the other "mom jeans," and am glad that I don't do it.)

The Levi's 512s are very comfortable and they do what they say -- hug the curves, minimize the belly, minimize the muffin top -- and they're pretty fashionable.  The down side (for me, anyway) is that hubby says my posterior looks better in the EB Stay Shape Jeans.  But I'm still keeping the Levi's.  I mean, everyone can use a comfortable pair of jeans, even if they're not the most flattering jeans for your hiney.  And the price (especially with the coupon) really can't be beat.
